What is your favourite trend?

D-D-Denim

I don't know about you, but denim plays a big part in my wardrobe. This season there are many different types of denim that are in style. Skinny, high waisted, baggy, dark, light, distressed, cut offs, there are endless possibilities in the world of denim. The great thing about denim jeans is that you can get a great pair with virtually any budget. No matter what season it is I believe jeans are always in style.

Madewell Ex Boyfriend Jean ($200 shopbop.com exclusive) These jeans look so comfortable. Perfect for a walk along the beach, or hanging out late at a bonfire. These would look cute with a cute feminine top, or a tee shirt and baggy old sweater. These jeans have a single button, and 5 pockets. They have a higher rise, and will fit looser, but I guarantee they will be more comfortable.

Fashionista Skinny Jean ($24.50, wetseal.com) These jeans will make anyone look like an innocent angel. I pair mine with flowy, flowered tops, for a boho chic look. They also make me look just a little bit less pale than usual! These jeans feature a low rise, and skinny leg. The skinny leg compliments any kind of shoe, but my favourite to wear with these are wedges and flats.

William Rast Sadie Straight Leg Jeans ($209 tobi.com) I love these jeans for going out. The darker wash makes them more dressy than their acid washed counterparts. These jeans are a great compliment to jewel toned tops, and the dark grey color makes it possible to wear black accessories. They are slim fitting, but are made of stretch denim, which will flatter all body types.

Free People Rugged Wide Leg Jeans ($66 revolveclothing.com)
These work great for a more dressed up look. Pair with a white blouse or with a tank and cardigan for a more office appropriate look. The wide leg look is great on taller women, so if your shorter be careful they don't overwhelm your figure.

Spring Break with Victoria

The best part of spring break is vacationing in the tropics. After the cold winter, playing in the sun is just what you need to tide you over until summer rolls around. Victoria's Secret offers sexy bathing suits all year long, in just about any price range. For today's article I have featured some of my favourite boho styles, but log onto victoriassecret.com to find a suit in any style.

Boho Beaded Suit (top $52, bottoms $20, victoriassecret.com) This sexy red bikini features wooden bead embellishments, in a flowery pattern. Plain bottoms sit flat across your hips. Works amazing with darker skin tones. The top is lightly padded, just in case. Also available in turquoise.

Sundial bandeau one-piece ($78 victoriassecret.com) For those who are more tummy conscious, this one piece will show off just the right parts. A very tropical print. It may be a one piece, but its just as sexy as a bikini. Add a skirt with some flow, and you've got a great boardwalk outfit! It also comes with a removable halter strap, if you want the extra support.

Floral stamp sliding halter top (top $49, bottoms $47, victoriassecret.com) My favourite of the collection, this contrasting cream and brown bikini features a floral and beach print. This bikini looks both feminine and sporty at the same time. This has beach written all over it. Well not really, but look at those colors! In this, you'll look like summer.

Victoria's Secret also has gorgeous cover ups to compliment their collection of swim wear. And when you buy one of their "Beach Sexy" swim suits, for a limited time you will also receive a free tote bag.

Swift

Country stars like Taylor Swift, Julianne Hough, and Kellie Pickler have been making waves in the media. I love their cute country look, so I picked out a few items to help you re-create it. Country style is known for being effortlessly sexy, without showing a lot of skin.

Britan Dress by Velvet ($152 shopbop.com)
This cute cotton dress looks like it came off Taylor herself. It would look good on anyone, featuring a v neck and empire waist. The toile detail gives the right amount of sexy to this cute sundress. Taylor Swift has actually lent her name to a line of girls sundress' at Walmart, and there is one that looks almost like this one!


Diesel Oliv Vest ($90 bluefly.com)
This vest looks amazing over the white dress, either open or closed. Its got a slight v neck which compliments that of the sun dress. I think the lighter washed denim gives the outfit a more casual air compared to matching it with a darker denim or traditional black vest. The shorter cut of this vest allows the empire waist to flow naturally.



Frye Carson Boots in Natural ($352 zappos.com)
Of course the most important part of the look is the cowboy boots. These are made of antiqued leather, and are so adorable! They come in a variety of colors, but the understated natural color works best with the denim vest. If you are looking for a lighter tone, this shoe in "Buttermilk" is a good choice.

For an inexpensive alternative to real leather, these boots from wetseal work nicely. Cowboy boots can go with all kinds of outfits, you don't have to change your style to work them.

Is There Spring In Your Step?

Today was a typical spring day, wet and cold. I thought I'd feature some shoes that are appropriate for the wetter spring days. These are some of the my favourite boots to keep your feet warm and dry.
Cream Uggs ($140 dillards.com)
These cream knit Uggs will keep your feet dry and comfortable even during the spring showers. These boots would look great with a dress, or with jeans and a simple tee. They have just the right amount of slouch to make the look. These are light, and great for the day.

Frye Black Leather Boots ($378 tobi.com)
These detailed boots are irresistable. Your feet will never be wet again in these genuine leather boots. They go perfectly with just about anything you could think of. Matching these with metallics is great for going out. Match with skinny jeans and a peacoat for walking about.

Black Booties ($29.50 wetseal.com)
If you're looking for an inexpensive alternative, these are really cute. These would be great for going out, and not having to worry about spilled drinks on your shoes. Made of PVC, they are also an alternative to leather boots.

Spring Prints

Well, spring time is almost upon us!
And a new season, means a new wardrobe. There are so many cute floral prints, I just had to share some of my favourites. The colors really pop on a white background, which many designers have chosen to show.

A Jill Stuart floral dress ($498 shopbop.com)
A really cute, low cut detail on the back, and a v-neck on the front, make this dress sexy without showing off too much skin. It would look good on all skin tones, but I would have liked to see it shortened for spring.



A forever21 sun dress ($25 forever21.com)

For a more affordable, but just as cute version of the style. This would look great belted, or with a cardigan. This dress could shift into summer as well, with its bright print and 100% cotton fabric.
